POLICIES
The general policies are the fundamental principles
and terms that govern the planning and executive work emanating
from the strategy. Following are the main general policies of
Women Affairs Committee, which are consistent with the contents of
the strategy:
- Encouraging participation of Kuwaiti women of the various
categories, professions, social sectors, and intellectual trends,
in the committee's activities and in achieving its strategic goals
and objectives.
- Focusing on obtaining specialized opinions in
addressing the issues under controversy.
- Sensing the needs of women and the society and responding to
them through constant development.
- Continuing the endeavor towards providing community adoption of
the committee's strategy.
- Integrating the role of women into all the sectors of the
society.
- Giving time priority to institutional reform in the committee,
being the basis of a successful implementation of the strategy.
- Encouraging the civil society and private sector to contribute
more to the activities that enhance the committee strategy's goals
and objectives.
- Following the scientific research methodology in all issues
relating to women and family in particular.
- Expanding the institutions with which the committee coordinates
with regard to practicing its activities and achieving its
objectives.
- Continuing to benefit from the expertise of international
institutions concerned with women, children and family affairs
(UNESCO, UNICEF, UNDP).
- Observing the scientific planning as a basic methodology in
implementing the strategy and achieving its objectives.
- Following the technique of regular assessment of performance in
each stage of strategy implementation.
